# 3. Configure and adjust

Once the SUNSCAN is assembled and the SUNSCAN OS is installed, the optical bench has to be adjusted: collimator, grating angle, slit alignment and camera focus. The procedure below walks through each step, with illustrations and the expected result at every stage.

Take your time on this page. A SUNSCAN that is correctly adjusted once stays adjusted, and every later setting in the app depends on it.
